WearExperimenting in Mackie’s Corner, Sunderland.
Here we are reaching the end of this wonderful project. The nights are getting colder and darker, so it’s now the perfect time for long exposure photography!
We’ll still attempt some pinhole photographs as well, and of course the exhibition is still on show for you all to see. Those of you who made cyanotype booklets and left them with me, they are now on display in the window of the workshop space. There have also been some excellent new additions to the growing polaroid wall thanks to Ian Horn’s polaroid haiku session, and those who attended the opening night.
Many of the workshops are finished. You have only 2 weeks left to come and leave your stamp on the project. Go to our Facebook events or to The Cultural Spring website to arrange your bookings. It’s all free.
Still to come…
We have a creative writing session with James Whitman tomorrow alongside the open exhibition. We also have pinhole photography 1pm to 3pm on Friday, as well as the amazing Ben Freeth’s Scan pathways 2pm – 5pm. There will also be the follow up session for Mike Davidson and Nicola Maxwell’s Industry Photo Walk at East Street Arts.
The last week is next week. On Thursday 29 November a small private workshop, there will be artists talks at Mackie’s corner from 5pm. Friday we will be doing pinhole photography. And, finally on the Saturday we shall be doing a follow up session with Ben Freeth during the day, and on the evening we shall go to the river to get some long exposure photographs of dancer and performer Penella Bee
